Joan Heath awarded the Bar to the Silver Acorn

Date: 27th Jan 2022 Author: Adrianne Goron

Last night the County Commissioner, Joe Rogerson, presented Joan Heath with the Bar to the Silver Acorn.

The Silver Acorn is awarded after at least 20 years’ service, which should be distinguished and outstanding, with the Bar to the Silver Acorn awarded after at least five further years of exceptional service.

Joan has been a vital part of Surrey Heath Scouts for many years, whether leading a Cub Pack, as ADC Cubs, Local Training Manager, or valued member of the District Executive Committee. Everyone knows Joan and the hard work she puts into Scouting.

There were also long service and good service awards for Christine Hughes, Tim Pashen, Sue Pashen, and Leigh Thomas.

We couldn’t be more proud of our fantastic volunteers receiving their awards, and offer our huge congratulations to them all.
