The National Smallbore Rifle Association – Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor’s Course

Are you a leader in Surrey Heath that would like to run rifle sessions with young people?

You can take part in the National Smallbore Rifle Association Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor’s Diploma this December so that you can do just that!

The course enables you to run taster sessions in Air Rifle and YPS courses that are not only great fun, but that young people can use as part of awards such as their Duke of Edinburgh’s and Chief Scouts awards.

You will cover a wide range of topics such as: law, safety, equipment, range construction, group control, basic shooting skills, sighting, scoring, targets and competitions, and shooting games.

Sound fun? Here’s all the details so you can get involved:

Dates: Saturday 17th December and Sunday 18th December 2022

Time: Please arrive at 09:00 on both days to start promptly at 09:15 on both days. Finish will be at 17:00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Venue: 2nd Frimley Scout HQ, Parsonage Way, Frimley, Surrey, GU16 8HZ

Cost: £90

Also included in the course fee are NSRA registration on successful course completion as well as the course handbook.

Please note: Applicants MUST be DBS cleared and registered with Scout Headquarters. (TSA number given on application)
